WORSHIP AT THE LAKE – Larry Beman

The summer worship series will be a little different this year. Each Sunday, beginning July fifth, we will focus on one of the “fruits of the Spirit.” (Check out Galatians 5:22-23.) AND – we will promote a real fruit each week: Strawberries, bananas, grapes, and more. We challenge all our programs to find ways to include the fruit of the week in their planning. For just one example, we could have a Banana Day in early July at Dessert on the Dock. We are also making a change in worship leadership. Our speakers this year will be people from our local Silver Lake community. They include Tom and Jackie Kraft, Eric Kelly, Jim Kwiatkowski, Sue Russell, Larry Beman, and special guests for Christmas in the Summer. Each Sunday service will take place at 10:30 a.m. near the blue dock or in Hoag if the weather is inclement.

Our offerings will again be mission-focused. 50% of our giving will support our SLI

programming and 50% will go beyond ourselves to help persons in need. We will also collect school supplies at the end of the summer to be distributed through Angel Action.

August 3 – Kindness. (Pineapples)

August 10 – Goodness (Peaches)

August 17 – Christmas in the Summer. Faithfulness. (Blueberries)

August 24 – Gentleness. (Pears)

August 31 – Self-Control (Apples)
